They're good people at GTR, just trying to push what they carry. I feel like introducing them to the DOB stuff may be an eye opener. My boy did take the time to read the write-up on dob.com, and is very interested in the GT450.

Your shop won't like DOB stuff. They can't make any money on it. That's not a knock. They have to pay the bills.

Hey, that reminds me, Danny did express interest in the coyote manifolds. You should touch base and find a way for both of you to make a fair profit. He is a big kenne bell retailer, steal some thunder. Just a thought.

I am living under a rock, I didn't even realize DOB did manifolds for the 5.0.

This what I was thinking, LOL!!!!^^^^^

Don't YOU pay HIM to work on your car Candy10?:whistle1:

So, these posts got me thinking so I called Ricardo and had a talk last night. He's trying to get me to keep the KB because I already have it, keep MY costs down. He knows of my financial struggles after divorce in January, and $4k in vet bills for my pup in February. Once I assured him that cost isn't an issue, he's on board with the swap.

There is still a small handful of good people around.

There is a 76 station 20 miles away that carries both e85 and 100 race fuel on the pump. Did not know that. Opens some options, but 40 mile round trip for gas would be a BITCH, to put it lightly. A drum would work, but apartment living.

I'd love to do at least some of my own work, but again, live in an apartment.

I don't blame my guy completely, he wasn't even aware of DOB until I mentioned it. He is VERY interested in the GT450 manifold, but is a KB guy. Can't knock him for brand loyalty. He did take the time to read the article posted about PD on the 3V. His response, "seems legit, will a KB fit on that manifold?" LOL

Pretty hard to do major work in an apartment parking lot, I get that.

Wow, I though it was someone else from that area. You will like the DOB. It's quality made, works well, looks good, and gives you a few options. I have a feeling your mechanic will feel the same once he sees the manifold. It's really a work of art.
