Yeah, a DIY kit in these cars is no joke.
Which blower ? I think people are usually afraid of the upfront cost of a turbo kit. But with something like mine, I think most will come out again, money and maybe even weight.

Do me a favor would you? Take the blower package you are looking at, add headers, mid pipe, k-member, and tubular radiator support and see what it costs.

I completly understand what your saying

My problem is as of right now no one has a kit out that I like and can buy before spring

And if I buy the blower I can add the rest as I go

I wish there was a good kit available now at a fair price

Curious what people think is a fair price ?
Many of the parts for this kit are already being mass produced. I should have 20 sets of header flanges this week sometime from the CNC shop. Hopefully out sooner than later, But not too long I think

About done with the sump. It's baffled and just need to patch the back with the outlet and call it a day.

Ah ok. Yep, that's how they will come as a base.

It's rare that even the full kits provide good fuel upgrades and tuning.....most just come with boost-a-pumps and email tunes to get your running and to a dyno

Probably an upgrade with the same base tune. But most want to spend the least amount up front and spend as they go like Mr Nasty which I totally understand. But a full option may be available.

Preaching to the choir brother! LOL Proto typing is expensive! First set of header tubing and flanges is going to cost me over 4k.

Sorry, what I meant was the first batch... But yeah, CNC'd parts get kinda pricey. All the headers are CNC bent, too. They all want you to buy in bulk.

Hmm, where to start. CPR is short for Classic Performance and Repair. We're located in San Diego,Ca. Started out working on classics 15 years ago or so. Modifying, then restoring and modifying them for a living. Figured I was wasting so much time on the, might as well try to get paid to do it right ? Parts quality in that industry is beyond horrid. Stuff wouldn't leave the shop, and sometimes not even get installed completely before breaking or failing. I have been turbocharging stuff for about 7 years now. They were all classic cars though. I like it much better. I make the parts with strict tolerances and methods. And when I have a part leave here, and don't have to worry about it fitting or failing later. I saw a hole in the industry for turbo kits. Everyone nowadays is terrified of making a customer move anything. I'm more interested in function. Wanted to change directions of the company when I bought out my old partner and get into a bigger turbo market. So the shop bought a GT500 and TT'd it. Been grinding ever since.

Nothing major. Stopped by the machine shop the other day and grabbed the first pics. Then picked them up today. The rest is some of the parts trickling in.
CNC is awesome for consistency. After you're done welding there is barely any surfacing at all to get them straight.

It may be the boss pod. It's in a ford racing package. Customer bought it and had it drop shipped. Ones a water temp, and fuel level. I think the other two are boost guages. They have features we need to activate system components.
