Brisk or Champion??

Its time to change the plugs. I think that has been part of the problem at the track as I've been getting intermittent detonation on the street as well.

After a bit of searching I found the champions at summit for 12.95
and the Brisk for $16.95

Are the Brisk THAT much better?? Is there any Data to support either?

And aside from the "champions are junk, or the old they belong in my lawn mower"

What is the general consensus??

are you looking to goin a step or two colder or stock replacements?
you can get one step colder autolites HT0's for about $10 a piece.
Brisk is a little more expensive.
IMO Champions are junk.

champions have worked perfectly well for me. I got mine on amazon. It is a dollar cheaper each i believe. Did my change at 18k miles and noticed smoother revs.

The Champions have been known to have the porcelain break under even the most minor detonation. Plus, their thread cutting isn't the greatest. And since you brought it up.......I wouldn't put them in my lawn mower.

Autolite is excellent. Brisk is nice if you have the coin. I'd recommend the Brisk for a power adder but you should be fine with the Autolite HT1 plugs for your application.

Been running Champions for 20K+ miles. Car never ran better. I'll NEVER go back to a 2 piece plug.

Run brisk homer. If you dont have the coin save up for it or work a little over time. I have been running brisk for six months now with a little sauce sprayed on them from time to time. Everyone knows how bad nitrous can be on plugs. I pulled them the other day to check if I could see any signs of bad mojo and they look just as they did the day I put them in there. Also I should note that I have the newer style heads with the one peice plug

i think champion is the only one piece design and most N/A guys are running it.. I still have stock plugs, i need to change mine eventually im at 20k miles. I wouldn't touch if it wasnt for the stupid get stuck your head and break b.s

Autolites i dont believe have any stock heat range so its not useful for just a mild n/a. *shrug*

The stock heat range for the Autolites is the HT1 which is in the motor already (They make the plugs for Ford).

ahhh, ill prob go w/ the champions or the brisk. I want the 1 piece design.

i havent heard of anyone having any problems w/ the champions in the S197's on the n/a.

Champion and Brisk both make one piece plugs.

Autolite HT1s would be the stock heat range.
