so i'm FINALLY going back to the track again tomorrow night for our test and tune. gates open at 7pm and racing is from 8pm-midnight so the weather will be cooler than my last time racing at the track which was in the daytime around noon..

last time my best et was 11.46 @ 116 mph which came with my stock 17x8's with 275/50/17 M/H DR's. Hit a 1.55 60'.

Tomorrow i will be on the new summit star 15" setup and 275/60/15 M/H's with M/H front runners also. nothing else changed.

Do you think i'm at the limit with my stock motor and stock converter? keep in mind the 11.46 pass came immediately after my first run which i forgot to arm the nitrous  came straight back around and lined up ready to go again without a cooldown in the middle of the day.

or

will you see me break a 10.99 and run around the track in excitement?

ps. i know 10.99's arent going to happen with my current 420rwhp/523rwtq but what do you think i'll hit on the new rims? saved around 40 pounds up front..... Im just excited about tomorrow and want something to talk about :beerchug2:

Or both.

I'm having my converter redone so I can finally leave on boost. Figure 3400 rpm at about 10 psi should do the trick.

I want to hit tens on the stock motor / stock converter on the nitrous. Not sure if its been done yet
With nitrous like that. We'll see how close I get tomorrow night and plan out my next move... Bigger fuel pump + 150 shot?

IM ready to see this car run. 11.46 is nothing to shake a stick at and that was with some heavy ass 17's. Im gonna guess low 11.30's 11.20's first pass out, because more than likely like all of us, we will either spin or make a mistake then realize what we did was wrong go back and fix it and then your gonna go low 11.10's. Just my guess. Be sure to get lots of pics and vids. Be sure to PM me when you have posted them up so I can see them. Good luck Mikey. Cant wait.

I'd guess you'll improve ~.2-.3 in the 1/4 with the wheel swap, so unless you start pulling out weight IMHO 10.9Xs are a stretch. I'll be the first to congratulate you if you do get there tho

Wow! you really think i MIGHT get .3 out of the rim swap?? i'd shit my pants if i can pull an 11.1x on this setup tonight. i know 10's are a stretch and dont have have any hope of hitting a ten second pass at all... BUT i can tell you if i hit that 11.1 tonight i'm seriously going to find EVERYTHING i can do to pull off a 10 sec pass in two weeks at the next TNT :beerchug2:

wish me luck :thumb:

Are you running a two stage setup on that car?

Ya, thats the plan, less the NOS, but I will be running meth in 2 weeks, should help with heat soak and allow more timing..Then back to the track..After that, a TC and leave @ boost like you said..Gonna be fun..

A two stage setup will net you 10s, though doubt the block would hold. But hope you hit your goals man.

Yup. i don't think the motor will hold on a 2 stage either. leaving everything as it is right now and hoping for the best rygen.

then MAYBE just MAYBE end up going with a 3500 stall in a few months. Thanks guys and i'll be sure to post results as soon as i can. even if it is without video and just a timeslip. time to get to work. need to check my plugs and see how they look.
