Hahaha yeah its nice to have lol. Also rebar and other stuff they need to do for codes here. But like you said, for the hurricanes.We dont build 8" thick brick walls lol. Those are for the basement or poured walls with brick veneer. That's all lol.

Yeah it is! The down pour just finished yesterday. The roof will be getting put together on Friday.looks like its coming along nicely
You nailed it on the head! Real (traditional) plaster is applied with wire mesh and cement works well just about every where. EIFS is the problem child. The a very few doing it the right. 99% of all those fail because the substrate wasn't prepped or water proofed correctly if they do it at all. It also has to have drainage, water will find a way in at some point. I am not seeing it as much here in the residential market but the commercial market is still going strong with it.Maybe stucco has been improved. It was having issues with moisture and mold in Western NY. Maybe it was how they were applying it. It's rare in my neck of the woods.
