i would just brighten them up with silver, red will stand out too much IMO and would you want black being you got black rims?

The silver atleast to me will compliment the stripes and the lip on those rims and make it look good

I've got a can of black I'll send to you if you pay shipping.

Here how my '05 looks with red. I'd suggest red.

No... they'll all eventually chip off within a few months.

Not true. If you clean them really well and put two or three really good coats on they will not chip. I DD mine and have had no chips(painted over a year ago).

OP, I got mine from Advance Auto for about $18 and it comes with everything you need(brake cleaner, take, paint and a brush). One can will do two or three sets of brakes.

You're the exception to the rule. For every ten people who paint their calipers one may have good luck. My car was two months old when I painted mine for the first time. I cleaned mine really well and put three "really good" coats on and still they started chipping a few months later. OP good luck to you.

I use a caliper paint kit that I found at an auto parts store. It's been on for over two years and the only chips are on one rear caliper due to me test fitting a wheel that ended up not fitting. Otherwise there are no chips. Guess it depends on the paint that's used.

I got the G2 Black Caliper paint from TireRack. Supposed to be the best stuff out there. However, it costs $30. I'm going to use black and red like mentioned above. The red I'm going to get from Autozone. Preparation is key. A little sanding, then cleaning, then primer will do wonders prior to painting. But I'll see if the G2 stuff does any better or worse.

Forget the caliper paint kits. I've used hi-temp paint on several sets of calipers and it looks great and lasts. The key is getting the caliper CLEAN, using PRIMER (yes, primer) first, and then spraying a couple coats of 500 degree engine paint. I have never had issues with chipping.

New guy alert!!

I will tell you first hand that it is well worth the money to get the G2 caliper paint kit... and nothing else.

500 degree high temp paint won't cut it if you ever use your brakes hard. Even the factory color that come on many Brembo brakes won't stand up to heavy brake use. If all you're EVER going to do is drive around town, you might be fine, but 500 degrees is still relatively cold for brakes. It is not uncommon to see street cars come off race tracks with 1000+ degree calipers.

Not only will the G2 stuff stand up to those temps, it's also very very impact resistant. I had my calipers done with the red G2 stuff and after 5 years and multiple track events, they still looked new. In fact, getting the paint off was an incredible chore. I went through multiple wire wheels. I now have black calipers... and they're G2 this time too.

Too bad you're out there, I'd give you a red G2 kit I've got laying around for a 6 pack of cold ones.
