Cam identification question Comp. Cams MT

I picked up a set of comp mutha thumpr, As far as i knew these were a nsr cam but on the spec sheet it says springs required. I bought them new off another member. The cams from AM say 127020 and on my spec sheet its listed 127-021-9L. A friend said he thinks the are the older style? Do i need springs for these? Should i be kicking myself in the ass? What should i eat today? Help!
