Whats the best cam and best place to get it? i may end up turboed in the future if that matters

Those are both loaded questions that will get subjective answers.

FI vs NA does matter when picking a cam profile. It is going to be up to you to decide how agressive you want to get with your tuning.

Comp, BBR, and Crower all make good cams for the S197.

Yea depending on what boost your going to run. Like 15psi or higher you can look at blower grinds. Under that its really your option on most of the grinds out even with f/i.

Also you need to think what is you goal with the car, main application of the car. Is it a DD, track car. whats more important to you, streetability, the most top end posible, a mix of the two.

Thats the stuff you need to think about.

Another question to ask yourself is if you need to change cams at all? I can personally vouch that the stock cams are fine into the mid 10s.

No, but without it I ran 13s. With it I ran 11s. :roflmao:

hmmmmmm guess the KB sitting under it had something to do with that drop in ETs! :roflmao:


some guys like the sound of the cams even if there is no great pick up in performance.
