Can someone take a measurement for me?

I'm looking at a new house and I can't get to my car.
I need to know the distance from the body to the tip of the door when it's open.

I need to make sure the garage is wide enough for me to work on it.
Any help would be appreciated.

The garage is 13.5' wide

You will be fine. I took a scrap piece of 1x6 lumber to the local upholstery shop and had them throw some foam on it and wrap it with black vinyl, then bolted it to the garage wall. Works great and keeps me from banging up the door. But my garage is only 10' wide so you have all kinds of extra room.
