Car wont start/Gas smell under the hood

Hey guys, Im a bit stumped right now. I was driving fine yesterday until i decided to pass a guy and floored the pedal...all of a sudden my car stalled out and wouldnt move i pulled over to the side and it wouldnt start back up...

When i pull the fuse for the gas the car starts for a second then dies.

When i start the car with my pedal all the way down itll crank a little but wont start..

Im getting a shit load of codes. Im not sure what to think wether my ecu burnt out or if my FRPS is done.

Codes are : 0183,093,61b,0068,0581,0611,446

Sounds like FRPS to me. Did you check the vacuum line?

The DTC codes are kind of all over the map. One of them indicates a fuel leak detected and another points at the fuel injection system. Since you don't get any fire ups from killing the injectors I would start there. Not sure how you would test fuel injectors other than taking them to a shop and have them blown out and flowed.

I ordered a new FRPS to check if thats it. Im hoping its not my ecu..Anyone else want to chime in?

When i start the car with my pedal all the way down itll crank a little but wont start.

When you have the pedal to the floor it cuts off your fuel injectors and you use this to clear a flooded motor. It will never actually start with it to the floor.

That vacuum line shouldn't have any gas in it.

I always crank it with the pedal to the floor and then while still cranking ease off the pedal; and when it starts, hold the throttle in that position until she smooths out. Then let it idle normal.

Yah well im thinking I flooded out the engine that's why I was saying i did that but it won't start at all

You can try unplugging the maf and trying to start. If it does start don't drive it. If it does start it should point to the frps.

Okay well car started when MAF was unplugged...So im guessing its the FRPS

That's good place to start. Unplugging the maf bypasses the sensors and goes to default trims.

Let the car run a little bit with the maf unplugged, clear the codes. Shut it down, then plug the maf back in and try to start it warm and watch for codes this time to see if cant point you any further.

Tried swapping mafs to see if it was one of my mafs...Nothing Same thing Idles though when car has maf unplugged.

When the maf is unplugged the ecu is using the load with failed maf table (I think). It also can't correct the fuel trims because it's in open loop. The point is it's not going to be exact but it will be better than what you get with a failed frps that's feeding the wrong data to the ecu. I don't think it has anything to do with your maf, the frps would be my first guess.

could cycle the key with vacuum line disconnected and see if fuel leaks out the open end of the FRPS?
