Damn.. what pistons and were the tolerances checked? Also what did the filter look like? What tensioners? Metal or plastic? New or used? Stock vct? Go away when warm? Oil pressure? What oil?
Lot of work pulling it and tearing it down just because. If making metal then I understand
Pistons are billet manleys. .020 over I believe.
Tensioner were upgraded to the steel ones.
New tensioners. Everything came from modmax.
Stock cams stock valve train. Stiffer springs,stronger chains, and bigger intake valves...
Noise when warm. I only idled it for 10 min the first time. Then 20 min. Then the next day it ran for 30 min. I check on it every 5 min. Temp was norm. Oil pressure was norm... then when I went to bring it back into the garage it sounded like a diesel with a rod knock soooo.... really bad. Barely ran enough to get it back into the garage.
Oil is valvoline. Till 6 - 9k then gets full syn.
