CHE Torque Limiters installed tonight

I'm pretty sure I could shift a dump truck better than I could have shifted my car. After reading up on it, I decided on the CHE Torque Limiters. It's a pretty simple setup, and I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first as to whether it would do what it's supposed to. Well, I'm here to say, this thing is amazing, and it does exactly what it says it does.

I'm running stock motor mounts (which are garbage), stock trans mount (also garbage), and the stock steel two piece driveshaft (once again, garbage), so I really didn't think this brace was going to work because my drivetrain came mounted to Jello from Ford, and overcoming that is a lot to ask for.

Prior to this, I really couldn't shift this thing at high RPM. I'd miss second. Then fourth. Then fourth again. It was real discouraging. Now with this brace installed I can powershift the life out of it. There's no hesitation, it's actually pretty amazing how well it works. I can bang gears again like a pro. I don't hate remote shifters quite as much anymore.

Anyway, I highly recommend this if you're having problems shifting and you're not interested in swapping motor mounts. It was super easy to install too.

i wouldnt own a s197 with out them in all honesty the remote shifter design is terrible if you don't have something keeping it lined up properly. i have yet to hit the H pattern with the che brace and tq limiters installed.

I have searched everywhere for these and to my knowledge, they don't exist.

I have both the Prothane's and the CHE limiters and couldn't be happier. I did the mounts because of my longtubes, and I did the limiters because of my tendency to miss 3rd at the track.

To me yes, but some have done both, just do the motor mounts and call it a day. The motor mounts cured my problems, but other that still have issues have installed the limiters as well.

No, i have been thinking about this for a awhile, talked to one eye willy awhile back and he might have a guy that can make them, hadn't heard back yet though.

For us guys with turbo piping the che limiters dont work anyway so some prothane motor mounts and and poly trans mount would be very nice!

I read all about that too before I did mine. And looking at how this thing works, and where his break is, I don't think the CHE was the cause of it. I personally think it was either installed wrong, or there was prior damage.

That is always brought up during discussion but that is the only example I've seen. I love my set

i would imagine that would be nearly impossible to be caused by a che tq limiter cause that would mean that there was movement in just the specific area yet there are like 8 other bolts holding it in place.
