Clockspring question

I really like the later GT500 steering wheels and I have read the how to posts with the wiring redos. My question is this, can you just buy a 2010 clockspring and then use the plug that comes with the new wheel without cutting and reusing the old plug. I am guessing no, but not sure why not.

Save the headache and just re use the old one. I've done it. Not hard.

Its a rather straight forward swap, I think I swapped one plug if I recall was pretty simple.

I did this swap. Cut connector off old steering wheel and cut connector off new steering wheel, solder the correct wires together.....and done.

oh....i may be swapping my stereo again then...hah

get a new wheel, spring, radio, and put my old stereo into my truck, them app-radio's look pure sex

Check out the Android radios. Nicer than those Appradios and cheaper. I just installed a DaSaita unit into my 2007. I have the 2010+ GT500 steering wheel and I have all the steering wheel controls working (minus 1) to control the stereo from the wheel. Works great.
