does eliminating the CMCV plates equate to any real HP benefit, other than a few extra HP on tha top end? I've heard it will take away from bottom end torque but give a little more on the top end. Anyone do any comparisons?

was looking for "actual" comparisons. Searched but haven't found any. I know there are a bunch of old threads, some ya some nay. I have noticed the torque with them is stronger on the bottom side than without them. Was looking for actual numbers if they are out there. Not tryin to beat a dead horse or anything else.

A proper tune for the CMCV deletes have shown no torque and no power loss at any RPM. They have shown about an average 6 RWHP, 10 RWTQ gain above 3000 RPM and a peak gain of 11 RWHP, 15 RWTQ. Below 3000 RPM, it was a smaller gain of roughly 1 - 2 RWHP.

You are not going to find a lot of Dyno results on these, you will find that they have knocked off a tenth or two in the 1/4 mile and have increased gas mileage. Those 2 factors are more important than Dyno results...

think next time i'm in for another tune i'm going to go ahead and pick up a set of these again and install them for the tune. i had a set a while back and sold them when i decided to go a different route. after getting the nitrous setup i wish i would have kept them...
