Well--took a ride in a 6.1L (372 CID) Dodge Challenger today with a KB on it. It felt like it should run mid to high 11's for sure, maybe faster with a good tire. You can really feel the almost 100 cid advantage, even though the thing weighs alot.

I can't wait till these things start hitting the track--some real competition instead friken turbo'd rice.

The Team Performance Twin Turbo Challenger is finally tuned and ready to go. Should be at the next WCHRA meet the first weekend of June.

I have seen four of these at the local track and two of them snapped an axle at the starting line. I would be curious to see how much abuse the axles could take on a modded car.

Thats interesting, what axles do they have? Is it an IRS set up?

Is that the black one running at Thompson? When it stays in one piece it certainly was impressive though. Low 10's on the clean passes it was making.

That one broke it and there was another black one about two weeks earlier

That 10sec challenger is a guy named steve. He owns Rdp motorsport. That is a 440cube motor with a tiwnscrew. He had twin, twinscrews on it but could not get it tuned right. The only reason i know all of that is he tuned my dads chrager that has forged 5.7 in it with a vortech s/c. He was on of the best tuners for the LX cars at the time. And yes the challenger, charger,300C, and magnums has IRS. The axles do not hold up to more then 450 rwhp. The after market is finally getting big for the LX cars.

Well, to make a long story short---these cars will be competition for us at the track--just give it a little more time.

Today, Adam ran a 11.43 with the Challenger with nothing more then a 2.8 Kenne Bell on that 6.1L SRT8. It had 10lbs boost, 561 rwhp to the tire. We weighed it and it was 4412 lbs with driver. Thats insanely heavy, but they have the CID to balance that out. This was also done on the 20" Nittos with the factory wheels all around.

Here are some pics---I will upload the video tomorrow.
