Yeah they are pricey. I really haven't had any issues with the dense foam pads and microfiber pads. They both get the job done without any problems. Especially since I upgraded to the Griots.

The foam and wool mix pad is the reason why the price is so steep, it's looks like a multifunction pad. I'll order one to test for sure.

I know they are expensive but try the Scholls spider pads!

Are you using both Scholl Concepts white and honey spider pads? Also which compounds/polishes are you pairing with them?

Please share your thoughts when you do. Are you planning to use the scholl compounds/polishes with the spider pads?

What did you end up doing Darren?

Think I'm gonna go with:

30cc CQuartz UK
IronX
Eraser
Reload

This should be good for me you think? My car surface is brand new so I think I just need to remove the oils and polishes and then CQuartz it, correct???

I thought I had this video posted at the beginning of the thread - oops!

So, I'm assuming this is your plan:

Wash
IronX
Clay
Polish?
Eraser wipedown
Apply UK

You'll want 16x16 suede MF towels to buff high spots just like in the video. Just keep in mind, because you're not using Reload, it will not be super slick.

30ml should be good, just depends how thick you're going...
