2. update have since installed c&l racer cold air and an sct tune and went a best of 13.006 at 105.2 with a 1.965 60 foot. air temps in the 50s. dont know corrected altitude.

i saw a dude in pass time, (speed Channel) that said his car was stock, just and intake and said he had no tune or a chip. and they re-asked him same questions and he firmly stated he only had a cai, and he ran a 13.0 i was like wTF !!!

You'd be surprised what a "really good" tune can do. Way back in late 2005, the first night I met Adam, I personally saw him run in the 8.20s in the 1/8-mile with just his tune and drag tires. Everything else was 100% bone stock... including the air intake. And 8.20s in the 1/8 equate to high 12s (12.7 - 12.9) in the 1/4.

Oh yea... that was the night I decided to have Adam do my tuning, too.

Most people I know run around 14.0 - 13.9 completely stock and 13.5 - 13.6 with a CIA and a tune...maybe gears. I didn't see low 13's or 12's until I did CAI, full mod exhaust, udp's, gears, and strpping have the interior out.

That was with the manual trans, too... so yea, he can drive fo sho! But my point is, don't discount the value of a good tune.

Oh, about a month later, he had just put the KB on. I don't recall exactly, but it was at about 10 or 11psi. Again... just his tune, 17" drag tires and the KB... no other mods at all... Vid of 7.24@97mph. That's good for low 11s!!!

Buddy of mine ran a 12.9 locally with JLT Intake, Brendspeed Tune, Boomtubes and Drag Radials.

@ PBIR. Brand new track. A few other of my N/A S197 friends are running low 13's with a few bolt-ons. The new track is definitely helping out a lot!

Yep, DA makes a huge difference with N/A cars. There are some parts of the east coast where fall temps give them mineshaft air of -1500 DA and such, while us out here on the left coast are stuck with normally +2500 to +3500 foot DA's.

Dude, my car is a sled then... Stock it was 13.9, w/cai and gears it was 13.5. I guess there is something to be said for DR's. The harder you come out of the hole, the better.

I hope to Christ my suspension issues are over. I'll be pissed if Scott gets into the 11's NA before me. My slow ass has been chasing him for 2 years. LOL
