I was considering the boost route, but I hear they’re easy to blowup once you do that did you go turbo or supercharged.? I’m going to call Lito on a tune
The 4.6 3V isn't THAT easy to blow up, but Brenspeed recommends a limit of about 450rwtq (manual transmission or 510 crank TQ) on a stock short block. The reason is the powdered metal I-beam connecting rods can bend or break when subjected to excessively high cylinder pressures.
At the moment the only available positive displacement supercharger kit is the Edelbrock E-Force, and the stage 1 would get you to about 470rwhp & 440rwtq on an otherwise stock engine (roughly 9.0psi boost at max HP & 6.5psi boost at max TQ), but comes at a cost of $7800.

There's a wider choice of centrifugal supercharger kits but the pick of the bunch IMO is the Paxton Novi 2200 HO. Since boost increases with rpm, this has the biggest HP potential but doesn't provide much boost below 4000rpm. This will get you to about 495rwhp & 435rwtq (roughly 10.5psi boost at max HP & 6.5psi boost at max TQ) at a more reasonable cost of $6400.

The biggest bang for your buck actually comes from an On3 Performance turbo kit.

The basic kit is only $2300 but you'll inevitably opt for some upgrades that'll add to the cost. This will get you to roughly 473rwhp & 475rwtq (roughly 9.0psi boost at max HP & 8psi boost at max TQ) but you'd probably want to dial it down a bit to protect the stock conrods.
Your biggest concern should be whether your 5R55S automatic transmission will last if you add forced induction. At the very least you'd want to upgrade the input shaft.
