Ha Ya I noticed. I would think the sealant would take away from the beading and sheeting of the Coating? I don't know if you have any but I would top it with Sonax Polymer Net Shield or Sonax Brillant Shine Detailer.

Suppose to enhance, more will be revealed thats for sure...the Black Label paint coating was $80 for 4oz. Applies a hell of alot easier then opti-coat

Thanks for the continued assist! The "Black Label" looks promising... And oh yeah on the two buckets! Heck I used to wash my 2010 CanAm Spyder with four towels... Hated the idea of a scratch being caused by my washing...

As far as what to use and going to different forums (TY BTW) Oooooh... My head is spinning... I think I want to go the path of "Me" doing this... But I got lost in all the forum links out there... Two and three generation Griot's GG6's... 3401's and some new Rupes... Then I got lost in "This is better than that" and need to back off and take a break... lol

I like the idea of doing it myself (And why I have an easy $30k in tools in my garage) as I find doing it myself nearly always yields the results I am looking for... Or at least a good fight to get close...

Yeah man, it can be overwhelming and total information overload. I too agree that I would rather do it myself. I started with a PC but quickly moved to Flex. $30k in tools, you can have a nice detailing arsenal for about $1000...

Ya it can defiantly be a lot when your first trying to catch on. The best thing to do is step back and see what you really want to do. You can purchase a nice DA like a PC or Griot's, a compound/polish, your LSP and be set. You just have to see what is need and what is a want. I love trying new things. From a price stand point I wouldn't look into a flex or Rupes if your really trying to keep up your car.

This will give you a nice DA, pads, compound, polish, sealant, and towels. You can then also purchase a solid Nuba wax to put on top of the sealant to give you that deep wet look and give you that beading and sheeting.

I concur, that's a great startup kit. From experience, it's nice too have lots of pads and microfibers! Oh yeah, s197probie, once u start it's impossible to stop lol!

YES towels are a must. I have near 40 towels and every time I make an order I order more. With that kit I would pick up 2 compounding pads, 2 polishing pads, and 1 applicator pad for the power lock.

That's a good kit to. 450 for the kit isn't bad at all especially based on the price of the flex alone...

I would think the Griots and PC would have less of a learning curve though?

As long as one understands section passes, I don't think so. It seemed like when I used the PC, I was never consistent with the pressure for proper rotation...

True. Did you try to put a line one the back of your backing plate to make sure it's still spinning or how fast it is spinning? That helps a lot with free spindle DAs.

Yes sir. Consistent rotation along with diminishing abrasives makes things easier. I started with M105/M205 but I've begun to explore other products. Hated the dusting in M105...

105 dusts horribly but it is a proven product and it does work. I think right now the best bang for your buck compound polish wise is HD low to no dust and doesn't leave any oily residue like menzerna can. Don't get me wrong Menzerna is defiantly an awesome product and I will buy some more ha.

What's crazy about the Wolfgang compound is it finishes like a polish, I couldn't believe it. Did you get your Detailers Club membership? pays for itself after one order...
