Well after eight pages of reading I've now seen five different tuning company's that I'm going to check out for tuning next my next mod so some good came out of this thread. BBR tunes in my car definitely were more drivable than the first Brenspeed tunes that I tried out and they were much faster at getting revisions for small changes quickly. Brenspeed would only make modifications on Fridays (I believe) even for something simple, so getting something small hammered out could take weeks. I really wanted a bbr tune for my cams but I spent two weeks trying to get them to turn my rear o2's on to pass emissions. I had to go back to stock and got treated poorly from them about it (I have a tune in my car obviously I know how to load a tune). If I had already had my cams installed, I would have been screwed and had to either go to another tuner or pull the cams. I do hope they get some stuff straightened out.

^^ I would've quit after the hood, not to mention once they upped the shippng charges I would've told them to shove it. They should've eat the shipping.. I've tried to keep some faith in this company realizing that for every bad there is probably 100 goods , but the more I read, I think I'll stay far far away.

You try to give people the benefit and them a second chance. They paid 100 of the shipping and I paid an extra 43. Still was pissed about it all though. But after the tune/MAF deal I wouldn't piss on them if they was on fire.

Day 3 and STILL no response? This is pathetic. I guess BBR is the new MMR.

I must say I have seen too many threads regarding this company and their return policy and customer service. Customer service is #1 priority for me, Look we are not perfect but atone for your short comings, and make it right by the customer, we all work hard for our money so when we spend it and you crap on us it's just total disrespect. Their mistakes have the potential of costing us thousands of $$'s. I'll never buy from or recommend a company that has total disregard for us and our cars.

This is bullshit they think just because its a smaller purchase that they can just stiff us. My dad runs a company and has been doing for almost over 25 years and if he ever treated his customers like this he would have never lasted this long. Eventually this company will tank and I feel bad for Steve and John because it will affect them. It won't be long before they post on here a "EVERYTHING MUST GO" for sale thread if they even last that long. Those couple loyal customers will only last for so long and when they do finally dissipate BBR will be fucked.

Wow, it seems like that 170 bucks is going to cost BBR a lot more loss by the looks of this thread. My advice to both sides, 1. Any kind of forced induction or radical engine change should be dyno tuned. That mail order tune should of been considered a start up tune for you to get to a dyno. 2. Good customer service is almost always free to any business be it a staff of one or 2000, its the bad customer service that ends up costing.

Maybe not in this specific case but Steve is guilty of posting bad info so I won't feel sorry for him...I have nothing against John, he was always very helpful on the phone and a good guy in PM's.

I agree on fi setup. But my start up and drive to dyno tune was horrible. Even data logging and put it on dyno for them to remote tune sucked. Funny they couldn't get it right. But two tunes from lund and everything was basically perfect. And he did same thing as them. Went of data logs from it on the dyno.

Hmm looks like I won't be ordering anything through these guys, the main thing I look for when I'm ordering things is customer service. That's why I love late model restoration! They are ALWAYS more than willing to help their customers.

BBR really needs to chime in and attempt to resolve the issues. I see they are posting on the svtperformance forums today.

+1

After seeing so many BBR bash threads and how they only post one shitty response to "defend" themselves, I'll never buy anything from them unless they clean up their act.

They posted on Facebook not 2 hours ago.

So here's a question? Does BBR provide anything to this forum besides parts??? Any technical contributions???
