More people in the thread have said to keep mine and gave good info on beefing it up. I appreciate the input, seriously. I hate making decisions on "big" purchases.

On one hand, my car is paid off and I could throw more money at it. On the other hand, it isn't getting any younger and I can get a sweet deal on trade AND take my parts with me to sell and invest into the newer model.

I think I may just look for a good used Pinto and be done.....................

all joking aside you sound like you have the same sickness I have . 05gt vert I buy parts and work installing them and love every litte bit of it . I clean the wheel wells and the bottom of the car , paint the rear end , and ect I have it bad . HERE THE WORSE PART I ONLY DRIVE IT 400 MILES A YEAR . so besides pulling the motor you done with your car go get the new and be happy life is to short to have one car forever .

This. I was contemplating trading the Bullitt in a couple Weeks ago and decided to keep it. In my search for a 5.0, I found several on Autotrader and Cars.com with less than 10k miles, premium package, and unmolested, priced in the mid twenties. Nice pricing, considering I paid just a couple thousand less than some of them for my Bullitt last year. I obviously decided to throw a blower on mine and keep it a while longer, but there are definitely some sweet deals on the new Stangs. I never buy new, because of wasted money (depreciation)...I like to buy gently used cars and save several thousand bucks. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Going from my 08 to my 11 was night and day even on the interior department. The interior alone makes it worth it. Not to mention the exterior just looks 100's times better. Not to mention the 11 and 12's look waaaaayyyyyy better than the 13's. So win and WIN.

Every time I see a 05-09 they just look so bland and boring. No offense to the 1st gen s197 guys.

I say do it and not look back. You don't have *THAT* much done to your 3v if I remember correctly so its no real big loss. The biggest thing you got to ask yourself is if you *WANT* another car payment for a car you *WANT*.

If yes, do it.

If no, then keep the bland-mobile.
