Made some progress today. Fabricated and installed the intercooler wiring. It's fairly simple, just a key on relay that powers the intercooler pump. The intercooler supporting parts are mostly installed now. I just have to run the lines from the tank and heat exchanger to the intercooler. All the other coolant lines are in.
The relay is temp installed right now and the key on wire needs to be spliced in and protected. All I can really do now is lengthen the frps and tb connectors. The maf connector will be long enough but the temp wires need to be spliced into the iat sensor.
After that's done it's a waiting game until the manifold shows up. Depending on how much is involved with relocating the alternator it should be a fairly quick finish. The base tune is ready, fuel system was left in place from the last time the car was supercharged. The first tuning will be done with e85 so the chances of blowing the motor will be low. A tuner I have a lot of respect for is warning me about the 12:1 compression and gasoline.
One of the things I like about a pd blower is the sound. When I had a Whipple that sound would enter the cabin during wot and overpower most of the other noises. It's somewhat intoxicating.
I took some pics. The intercooler pump pic doesn't show much except how difficult it is to get into that area. The relay is temp installed but I'm pretty sure that's where it will be put.
The power steering pump reservoir needs a solution. I may fab a bracket or attach it directly to the cai. I'll know more once the cai is installed. Does anyone know where the bracket on a gt500 is attached and what it looks like? A pic would be appreciated.
