On the driver side my CAI is getting all the air through this gap to the hood. So, your deflectors are not directing the air to the ground only to the side? Not easy to see on the pictures.
That is my way of putting some sanity in my lifeMan I'm impressed you guys all put so much effort into these under body mods.. my little front tray thing got wrecked by a rogue piece of tire on the freeway and I straight up just never replaced it!
I should count myself lucky then! At my local gas station in Cyprus, 95 RON is $5.93 per US gallon (€1.40 per liter). And, if you have to pay 8.50 per gallon you look out to gain some mileage![]()
8.50 is 93 (98 RON) but they already announced a massive CO2 tax increase for next year.I should count myself lucky then! At my local gas station in Cyprus, 95 RON is $5.93 per US gallon (€1.40 per liter).
Nevertheless I've tried to eke out every mpg possible with my drag reduction mods. I see getting a combination of more N/A power and better gas mileage as a challenge.
How has this effected your low speed cooling?
That hasn't been a problem for me. If anything sealing off the underside of the engine bay prevents air stacking up under the hood, allows the cooling fan to work more efficiently because it doesn't have to work against pressurized air in the engine bay, and reduces the chance of hot under hood air getting into the CAI. When you also have the benefits of improved gas mileage, improved high speed stability, and a higher top speed due to a lower drag coefficient, it's a win win all round. How has this effected your low speed cooling?
On my prior 06 GT, I did the 2010 belly pan and similar mods and the amount of air that got trapped in the engine bay was significant at the detriment of higher IATs and ECT.
Here 98 RON is €1.47 per liter or $6.22 per US gallon, and I'm already paying an eye-watering €1312 per year in road tax 'cause the car is in the highest band for CO2 emissions. By comparison my annual fuel bill (roughly 3000 miles or 5000km per year) is only ~€850 and my insurance is ~€350. Despite the expense, keeping Scarlett on the road is worth it in spades. You can't put a price on smiles per mile!8.50 is 93 (98 RON) but they already announced a massive CO2 tax increase for next year.
Coolant temp is the same as before, I have an CAI, the car doesn't have a coolant temp sensor, so I guess the engine temp is roughly the same. Maybe the fan kicks in a bit earlier than before? How has this effected your low speed cooling?

91 (95RON), the intraday variance at one station is huge, yesterday it was from 1.66 (7.14$) to 1.82€/l (7.83$), maximum for 93 (98RON) was 2.08€ (8.95$)Here 98 RON is €1.47 per liter or $6.22 per US gallon, and I'm already paying an eye-watering €1312 per year in road tax 'cause the car is in the highest band for CO2 emissions.
