Easy way to remove Loctite thread sealant?

Ok...so I used some Loctite thread sealant (PST 592) on some aluminum rails
and I wanna get that white crap off....Is there an easy way?

Are we talking fuel rails here? Normally I'd say use a propane torch, but I don't want you to like, catch on fire or something.

It would be my first attempt. If you have a manly heat gun (1000 deg type) it might work.

2nd try would be what Swarzkopf said.

yeah....fuel rails. lol

most is wiping off with allot of elbow grease...but I thought there might be some solvent that would take it off easier.

If it's rated to withstand gasoline, most solvents aren't going to touch it. Maybe some alcohol would help?

Try some isopropyl (sp) alcohol

FYI, never use isopropyl to clean automotive stuff. Isopropyl is "rubbing alcohol;" it is used for medical purposes and thus contains a small amount of oil.

Denatured alcohol is pure and won't leave an oily residue.

Oven cleaner????? I know it strips the coating -an fittings

On fittings I use a wire wheel on a bench grinder. The stuff gets pretty stiff after it's been on the car for while. A wire brush and spray brake cleaner would be the second best option.
