Got news today the engine was done.

Engine specs...

Bored .20 over with diamond pistons with ring lands moved down, stainless rings, new I beam rods. 3.8 stroke with all new bearings and all ARP studs

All This to fix this! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349832320.957083.jpg

New piston on the left. These are hard anodized coated to help dissipate some heat....

Crank has been double keyed for the ATI damper. This will help with the torque of the F1A to be installed.

The other new upgrades are BMR LCA AND K Memeber. New injectors but haven't decided on the 80lb or the IDE100.... Still researching this.

Has anyone replaced cam phasers and why? Mine has seen to unwind them selves for no reason....

Should I use lock outs or just replace them with new cam phasers.

It just never seems to end....damn it...:(

What was the old piston? What happened? I've heard nothing but great things about the ID injectors compared to the 80's. I don't have any issues with my 80's.

Broke dafuk down
ID1000's all the way. Have you EVER heard of a tuner that did not like them? Best idle/street manners I have ever had on FI car btw. Lockouts are cool but I think I would go with limiters if I had to do it all over but I am PD supercharger tho.. Lockouts would be cool for the turbo I think.. more torque down low until the turbo kicks in.

Cp pistons were the old pistons. Standard bore with 19 cc making it 9:08 to 1 compression. The piston gave out from a lean condition maybe. Not to sure ..... Frustrating for sure...

Tr6060 swap in the car.

Brenspeed Detroit rocker cams. If I get to serious it will be time for a custom set of cams.

Gears are 4.30. It will run better with this tall gear because on how the six speed is geared.

Btw... To 05 stroker... I was searching. And reading your journey on your experiences. Good job sir... I was looking for the pic of the air filter you did.. Can you pm me a pic I can't find it ...lol. I'm still searching though

Not for me, I deleted it! No ABS now. Just a matter of making new line though and it can be moved anywhere you want.

Ok so talked to Procharger today.... Made the call to get the f1 bracket and spacers. Not even going to take a chance... TOO MUCH TO LOOSE. At this point. I want to say thanks to those on my other thread about the bracket... It really made me change my approach of this part of the project. This is why the forum is here... To share the experiences of others and learn from them.

I did decide on going with the SD 80 lb injectors to add to the fuel system. Want to have plenty of fuel to feed this motor with a f1 pushing everything. The fore set up is in with the 405 pumps on a return set up demanded a little more fuel for the new blower.

It should be interesting to say the least.

Will post pics of the motor before it goes in the car

Just a few thoughts...

I've heard great things about the ID1000 injectors, but ended up going with the 105lb ones from Lethal. They're great. No issues with them whatsoever, and two tuners (Lito and Eric Brooks) had no problems working with them.

As for the cam phasers, I've had nothing but problems with them and aftermarket heads. On my current heads, I had Rich Groh install V10 3v delete plates and used a set of Livernois lockouts. They have a couple different ones. I went with the ones that lock out the cams 10 degrees advanced. Again, no drivability issues, and you don't have to worry about the phasers failing (which sucks, as they're expensive) or making noise.
