If I change to 19" inch wheels (as I'd like to change to a Brembo front setup one day) will this shudder affect me? I have a 2011 with 18" wheels (and I presume --rack)

I assume you have a GT. I would bet on the shudder, if you upgrade your brakes. I know my big brake package caused mine.

If you changed to 19" wheels and Brembo brakes, buy my rack (it's for sale in classifieds and eBay- make me an offer)

It's programmed for that specific setup.

My track wheels are 18x9.5s. Plenty of 18" wheel options work with the brembos. Anything that will fit a 07+ Shelby will work for example.

I've only seen 2011 Mustang with this problem, BMR Tech what year is your car? Do you have the BE rack in your car?

Agreed, I have not had any customers complain of this shudder with anything other than 2011 Mustangs.

As for our rack, we do have the BE rack. Our car is a base model GT with 18" wheels. It was one of the first GT's sold here in Florida, so it is definitely as "early" production as it gets.

I find it odd that it took this long to get this "shudder". We have had our A-Arms on the car for over 2-years.

That is odd. Mine was immediately after replacing the arms.

Yes, it is.

I have driven the car from Tampa to Atlanta (6) times, and a few trips from Ohio to Bowling Green Kentucky. Of course, interstate and highway....and many high-speed turns/corners. Never an issue.

Took the car out to lunch the other day and sure enough.....

We have not been able to duplicate it after replacing the ball-joints and bushings. Hmmm....

doubtful. all those mt82 transmissions going bad out there and the cries for a recall on that one fell on deaf ears.

car drove like crap on the way to work today... feeling bitter this morning. autocross season is a write off for me. i can't believe those of you out there who race can still drive with this happening. i'm having trouble just driving down the highway with all the shaking.

trying to think of another dealership to go to but the choices are slim to worse :(

A clarification: GT500 wheels will work, 18x9.5 SVT. Shelby GT wheels are 18x8.5 and are same as the GT/CS wheels; very nice, but don't fit the 4-pot Brembos without adjustments, including one-inch spacers and a 5mm trim of the front studs, to fit those very nice wheels. The 18x8.5 "Fanblades" require the spacers, but have a void built in which accommodates the studs.

When he says Shelby he is referring to a GT500. Most everyone knows that.

There was a trio, each of whom was asked to name the highest technical achievement of Man.

Number one offered "The Golden Gate bridge: strong and useful, a delight to the eye".

Number two: "Apollo crew on the moon and returned: practically inconceivable just a few decades earlier, poetic in its majesty".

Three: "The Thermos™ bottle".

One and two chorus: "Whaaa? What's so remarkable about that?"

Three: "Keeps hot things hot, cold stuff cold. HOW DO IT KNOW?"

How do you know what "most everyone" knows?

I've got a 2011 that came with 18s from the factory. I want to upgrade to the 4-piston Brembos. If I DON'T change the wheels (my 18s will clear the larger brakes), will I get the shudder? Or do I need to get a 19-inch or BOSS rack?
