What are you even basing that off of? Lol
r&i rear glass, 1/4 glass. trim, replacing 1/4 over sectioning. paint 1/4, paint bumper, paint trunk topside backside (if it cant be salvaged/realigned), blend door, blend fender if quarter is being skinned, restripe 1/4, trunk, bumper in labor.

parts- decklid, bumper, outter 1/4, inner structure, stripes.

prep, paint, cut and buff. im willing to bet im not far off. 3k is a lowball for sure. at least in this area it would be.
white is the worst paint to match

Three stage white is the worst to match. The mustang white is a walk in the park
nope. light metallics are a pain in the ass, and pearls are troublesome.

Ok you might have read a magazine about body work one time...

Everything you just said proves my point on the cost of repair.

Lol light metallics might have been hard to do 20 years ago.... In the real world there are problem colors within each paint system (ppg, DuPont, house of color) as far as ppg goes there are issues with tri stage white pearl, gold and reds

lol, i know a little more then that. i really have nothing to gain by getting into a pissing match with you. we work with dupont all day every day. the pearls never match right, and ive seen several golds off by several shades. reds are troublesome as well. the camera does help some, but it doesnt always give the greatest color either.

That doesn't look too bad. I had similar damage to the left front corner panel on mine when a mini van ran a red light and bounced off another car then into me while I was sitting still. I've had the car on the track several times since then and it drives perfect. Like said, good thing you didn't hit the wheel.

It was $2800 for my body kit to be repainted and matched and my stripes painted on and new clearcoat. Lol

I'm pretty sure it's closer to the $10k range

If this were my insurance company, 99% chance total loss if it's an 05-07ish.

Somewhere in the 3 grand range, just did a quick estimate in our system with limited info and came up with 2,800.

Is the bumper ripped in that corner?? how is the tail lamp

If you're in the $3k range...then either my body shop is too expensive, or yours is too cheap.

A gal backed into my car. Just under $2900 bucks. Everything is bolt on.
Yes I have the estimate.
Yes I have the check.

I mean we write for Allstate and State Farm and some of the small companies as well, our labor rate is only 44 dollars an hr for body and paint with 30 dollars per hr on paint materials.

3-4k, bumper is fixible, and you can get the quarter panel from a body panel store. Repairs on my car were $1500, replaced the bumper, fender, headlight, grille, and had to pull the frame 1.5" and painted half of the car, come out better than new

If you spent 3k to paint your body kit alone, you need to switch body shops.

If this was directed to me....

Roush fascia $600
Roush chin spoiler $180
Roush 427R fender sticker $180
L/F fender $350
Headlamp
Marker lamp

MSRP for OEM or Roush parts from dealership was over $1700
That left about $1100 for labor & paint

Never said I used all $2800+ on it. I had some of the parts already...chin spoiler, headlamp, marker lamp. I took the cash on the estimate and worked a deal on paint & labor, I provide parts.

Ended up with enough leftover to almosttttt pay for a set of RaceStar wheels.

Never mind, I thought you said you spent $2800 to only paint it

Yours was cheap because:
1). We're in the car business and we get discounts.
2). It was an auction body shop that did the work
3). Replacing/repairing a hood is much easier than a quarter panel
4). I gave you the Roush bumper

I'd say anywhere from $8,000-$10,000 to fix this one. If it gets classified as a Mustang GT rather than a Shelby, I wouldn't be surprised if they total it.

That 1/4 is def toast. So is the Tail light socket. I'm almost willing to bet that if you look at the sheet metal that would attach to it from the center and below that its going to be mangled along the seems as well. Behing the 1/4 there is also another sheet metal wall that looks like it might have taken the hit as well. The sheet metal under the rear deck also has wings that go down the 1/4 to the end of the trunk, thats mangled.

I can see the oem Satellite reciever on the trunk so I'm willing to bet your Shaker 1000 unit took some good damage as well. When mine was hit I had it written up to be replaced as a whole unit to the tune of $2300 alone. The adjuster didnt have a clue on the shaker unit and neither did the dealer she called. I had to look up the part numbers myself and you can bet your ass i threw in every nut and bolt.

IMO it depends on how its fixed. I can see 11k easy if the shakers is trashed. Without it 7-8.5k.

True. I added $500 for the bumper. Repairs without the bumper was $1k
