I hate to disagree, but when you say "street tires", I don't think drag radials. I think Nitto Invos or something like that.

Yes, I know they are DOT, but it's not the first thing that comes to mind.

I agree, when the word Drag is in the name of the tire...There is a difference between a street tire and a street legal tire. But true alot of people run DR's on the street daily, including myself

is 11.91 @ 117 really that impressive with all those mods?? i mean there was a guy running 12.7-12.8 @ 115-116 stock with his 2011 gt auto..

with a cai, headers, catted x pipe, 3 inch exhaust, a tune, 4.10 gears, a little stiffer suspension, and drag radials i kinda would have expected better...

still fast, just kinda would have thought it would have been faster. whats the timeslip info?

Iceguy314....You can't be serious.

yeah im serious. do you know drag racing? with drag radials you should easily cut .2-.3 seconds off of your 60', maybe more. so thats about .4-.6 off of the end of the 1/4. so that puts that guy who ran a 12.7 @ 115 pretty low in the 12s. then with all those mods i would think you would gain more than 1-2mph and .2-.4 seconds. but thats just me. i mean look at the mod list, its not exactly just an intake and tune.

what would a 05-09 auto with the same mods run??

who cares? has absolutely nothing to do with the 2011 lol. but mid 12s. all i was sayin that considering stock they run 12.7 @ 115+ mph stock on stock tires, i would have expected better. 11.9x is still fast guys, jeez.

the autos do not run 115mph stock. your talking about a pass at a track that is known for having a faulty timing system. My car stock in the 90+ heat with 100 miles on it went 13.25 @ 107.5 mph.

so with 100 or so more miles on it, with a gear, tune and tires it picked up .9 in the 1/4. had i not deep staged the last pass and pushed through the beam, it would have been a 12.2 @ 113, , car picked up 6mph and about a full second off it's e.t.

as far as tires helping. my tires weren't spinning at all when stock. it's not a stick car that is going to pick up as much from high launches. the car is pulling high 1.8 60's.

So, on my car, in my heat, the car picked up about a full second from a tune, gear and tires. not too shabby. not to mention, the tire is a 28" which is overkill and pulls back away from the gear, but i'm planning on more power and had them anyway.

you can't take one car at a track with a faulty time system, and call that the norm for mph

Sacramento Raceway's timing system was screwed up for that 12.5 or 12.7 Run...

When the owner was asked to run the car at a different track to prove the times he refused.

Stock 2011 Mustang GT Automatic's run 12.90's or slower with Stock Weight.

Kenne Bell ran their 2011 Automatic at Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA and they ran 13.0's all night long!

A got a chuckle when I learned that "street tires" are now drag radials. Technically, but not practically.
if its a tire i would drive on everyday, without having to swap at the track, id say yes its a street tire.
so if one drives on the street with M/T drag radials or Nittos then theyre street tires.
