if its a tire i would drive on everyday, without having to swap at the track, id say yes its a street tire.
so if one drives on the street with M/T drag radials or Nittos then theyre street tires.

I agree 100%

I have run nothing but a dr or et street on every car for the last 10 years.

My 2011, the only tire i will run is a dr. The only time I will be swapping them out is for extended length drives, 3 hour plus, etc..

No doubt that most of the drag race crowd will call a DR a street tire. I bet alot would call a BIAS PLY ET STREET and such "Street Tires" But We all know when you want to brag about times and compare how fast you go with little mods Street Tires are everyday performance tires. Like the factory P-Zeros. Drag radials are just that Drag radials. ET streets and the like are DOT slicks.

If you want to talk somebody into a race and they say "street tires vs street tires" go ahead and show up on ET streets and see what they say.

How about I tell you that I run 11.7s on street radials or 11.5 on a "street tire".

In my opinion the OP should have said We ran 11.xx on Drag Radials. What are we selling here anyway "superior tuning ability " or Drag radials. Hey newsflash .... Drag radials will improve ET ... just incase you were living under a rock for the past ten years.

the autos do not run 115mph stock. your talking about a pass at a track that is known for having a faulty timing system. My car stock in the 90+ heat with 100 miles on it went 13.25 @ 107.5 mph.

so with 100 or so more miles on it, with a gear, tune and tires it picked up .9 in the 1/4. had i not deep staged the last pass and pushed through the beam, it would have been a 12.2 @ 113, , car picked up 6mph and about a full second off it's e.t.

as far as tires helping. my tires weren't spinning at all when stock. it's not a stick car that is going to pick up as much from high launches. the car is pulling high 1.8 60's.

So, on my car, in my heat, the car picked up about a full second from a tune, gear and tires. not too shabby. not to mention, the tire is a 28" which is overkill and pulls back away from the gear, but i'm planning on more power and had them anyway.

you can't take one car at a track with a faulty time system, and call that the norm for mph

didnt know about the faulty timing system. i had heard before that when ford did all its testing with the cars, the auto was faster than the manual, so it made sense.

either way 11.9x is pretty damn fast, cant wait to see the progress.

and IMO drag radials arent street tires. just bc you can drive them on the street, doesnt mean street tires. you can say DOT tires, but dont say street tires. i mean you might get 1k-2k out of a set of drag radials lol. they dont give quite as much grip as slicks, but they give more grip than regular street tires.

My nittos on my lightning actually did better in the rain than the stock f1's did. I would get 12 - 15k out of a set on my truck with no problem.

Sacramento Raceway's timing system was screwed up for that 12.5 or 12.7 Run...

When the owner was asked to run the car at a different track to prove the times he refused.

Stock 2011 Mustang GT Automatic's run 12.90's or slower with Stock Weight.

Kenne Bell ran their 2011 Automatic at Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, CA and they ran 13.0's all night long!
What were the test conditions in Fontana? It's at about 1300 feet in the low desert. It's not a particularly fast track, though it's better than LACR that used to be up in Palmdale!
