Evolution Performance, Inc. - 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V Automatic Runs 11.91 @ 117MPH With D.O.T. Street Tires!

Since NOT everyone is going to put Race Wheels/Slicks on the car......

We wanted to see what times could be achieved on D.O.T. Street Tires, which 80% of the people buying these cars will be using. That's why we purchased Two 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V's. This one is geared more towards the Street/Strip group using 100% Street Components!

We spent a lot of time on the Automatic Transmission Calibration and it really shows in the Video.

What launch did you find works best for the auto ?

I was able to stall it up to about 1,800 RPM and that's about the limit before the car pushes through the brakes.

I tried Two different ways of launching

1) Stalling it up to 1,800 RPM, then flooring it

2) Leaving off Idle and stomping it to flash the converter.

Option 1 was the clear winner.....

So it doesn't really run 11.91 on actual street tires it is on M T Drag radials maybe you should rewrite your post!!!! Street tires should be the radials you bought the car with :)
