Exhaust Hangers

Long story short, when I bought my 09 GT in 2018 the previous owner had a muffler delete done and they used aftermarket hangers that were welded to the exhaust and bolted into the chassis where the stock hangers go. I just got the SLP loud mouth axleback and they already have the rods for the hangers so I'm going to get stock hangers. When I punched my vin into repairlink (dealer level parts ordering site we use at my work) I saw this hanger(circled in red) that I've never seen and is not on my car. Should I get it? and if I do where tf does it go? I cant find any pictures of it installed online.

The pic of the hanger at summit is what was welded on to the old exhaust for reference.

I don't know if I even need this but since I didn't take stock exhaust off I don't know how important it is.

I'm not sure if I'm comprehending you very well. The circled part I've never seen. The part with the blue question mark was only installed on the earlier cars. Ford deleted the part early in the s197 history due to noise issues.

That circled part is a strange one, what is it and why would you need it. Also, every mounting bolt is numbered HS1 and they are all about an 1" long, no way it would mount the circled part as indicated on the diagram because it wouldn't be long enough.

I have an 05 and other than the trans x-member these are the only exhaust hangars I have, two on each side.

Just leave it alone. Open pipe has got to sound better than SLP.

Interesting. My 2010 GT came from the factory with 3 of the 5A204A brackets and 1 of the 5A204B brackets supporting the axle back mufflers. I do recall one bracket being different and used only on one location. There were no other hangers on the exhaust system. Only the 4 supporting the mufflers.
