So you used the 2013 core support?

Yes, which has nothing to do with the fenders missing the bumper bracket.

This is how the fenders come, front bottom is just flat similar to 05-09 fenders

Here is the bracket needed to hold the bumper on

This is the part I had to make and attach to the fender

Right, on the 05-09 fenders there is a bracket that clamps the fender bottom tot he top of the bumper. So on the 13 the bracket is totally different. Its this bracket that has no way to connect to the fender, correct?

On a 13 fender it attaches to the 13 bracket which the bumper cover attaches to, right?

So how are you to have a 13 fender attach to an 05-09 or even a 10-13 bracket when there is absolutely nothing on the fender to attach a single thing too? Its a "conversion" alright. You have to convert the conversion for it to work.

I think the mod you did to the fender should be all that's left. If something doesn't align right could it be possible that the new modded "flange" may be throwing it off?

I'm nearly ready to start my conversion but not using those fenders. Going with carbon fiber ones I'm making

I think he molded the fenders for his bumper. I spent a good eight hours on it today trying to do everything I could to align things before I start hacking on the fenders. I'm close.

What seems to be throwing things off is the width of the fenders, they seem to be too wide, if I remove the bumper brackets it lets the bumper fold in slightly and allows me to push the bumper into the correct position.

If I pull the bumper out wards to line it up with the fenders, then the headlights are exposed at the bottom. I could space the headlights out at the bottom, but I'm trying everything I can before I resort to rigging things and shimming, I want it to bolt together like factory!

New 2010 fenders will be here Monday, ill slap those on and line it up just like it suppose to be, bolt it all down and then swap fenders back out...from there I will modify the fenders to match the stock fitment.

So ill have a set of 2010 fenders for sale shortly ;)

That sounds like a good plan to follow. Take the unknown out of the picture with a known well fitting oem fender.

$100 for the fenders? :D

I have most of the parts already en route but have held off on the fenders til Im ready. My Shelby is a DD so I have to do this in one weekend

so pretty much what he is saying is that its custom and i should expect to have non-fitting parts....even thou the only custom part is his fucking fenders.....
I agree with him actually.

Getting aftermarket fiberglass body parts to work is always a motherFer, I don't care what it is. Looks like those fenders need a minor rework and then you'll be happy with the result.

If anyone is interested in these, I'm considering selling them. For guys using the 05-09 core support, they would probably work now that I have added the needed part for the bracket.

I'm using a 2010 core support so it puts my headlights at a different angle and the fenders don't line up. I'm considering just making my own fenders from metal now that I have some 2010 fenders. I paid $725 for them shipped if anyone is interested I'd probably take $500 for them shipped.

I keep being told if you use the 05-09 core support, they will line up. All I know is the support holds the headlights in position. I think the combination of the 2013 bumper and the 2010 core support is my problem with getting it all to line up. The 2013 bumper uses different brackets at the top of the bumper and is a lot more sensitive to having things line up perfect because of how the hood and bumper meet.

If I line it all up, it gives me a gap at the lower part of the light.

You need the 2013 core support then

I ordered the 2013

after the wreck at sebring, i was forced to replace the core support, so i figured since i was doing it, i would go with the 2010+ support so everything would line up like factory after the conversion

i have the 2010+ core support which is the same as the 2013. i just think since these fenders where designed around the 2009 support, that may be why the headlights are not lining up with everything?

i just ordered some 2009 metal fenders to cut up and will be just making my own metal fenders!

Soooo..if anyone wants to try these out on a 2005-2009 core support car, they are available!

Glad to hear I got the right core support then as maybe things werent lining up because of the "conversion" fenders. What a fiasco!

It would be interesting to see if they fit Shark Tales car since he already has all the other newer front end parts.

So you haven't been able to try the fenders with the 05-09 core support? You should give him a call and see if that's the problem...I just may buy yours if so

He told me before I even bought them that I would need my 05-09 core support. But I had already bought my 2010 core support, and at the time I didn't think it would matter, but now my 2010 support is welded in and I'm not changing it.

When i bought them , He actually told me they tried them on a 2010 core support car , same situation as me, front end damage....and they had issues as well.

I'm open to offers if you want them. Keepin mind I paid $725 and added the part you will need for the bracket. I don't expect to get all my money back but just don't rape me,lol..PM me and we will work something out.
