I am confused; I thought you were using a PI converter, what made you go back to Circle D? Which one were you running and was it a 2C?

TSS deals with circle d . they built 2 custom converters for my car (not there average stuff) neither of them work. super long story.
so im out labor($$) and time.

gonna see what the plan is tomorrow. car is back at TSS.

I got the PI back in my possession, so I can sell it or send it in for a re-stall.

as of now I think its faster.

I thought it made more power than the Paxton but I don't think I ever saw/read dyno numbers, just that you ran a 9 with it.

Are you going back to the PI TC then?

I understand completely about being frustrated with the labor costs of the TC swap!

2 of them in a week sucks. TSS volunteered to eat the new swap this week.

no on the PI due to time to ship it. I have already paid for a circle d and they are local so it can be done in a day for TSS.

my idea was just put a 3c in it and lock it up in 3rd... they wanted to TRY something different..lol

give me a call I can go into more detail if u are interested. I hate typing.

Made a couple of test hits with new converter. Trying to work a few bugs out. These passes were only at 12psi in 90degree heat.

Thats awesome for only 12 psi. So much more potential, I would think you are pleased thus far knowing there is some issues still and a lot of boost being left on the table.

I would think so. It was hot and humid in Texas during the day and evening today. The lowest DA we saw was 2,700' with 120+ water grains.

We were down the road a little ways at Lonestar Motorsports Park making a few shakedown runs with kdanner's car.

I think Larry has quite a bit more in his car when our air gets better in a couple of months. :beerchug2:

The times are awesome on this run, but your previous vid seemed like your car was really fast on the back half of the track compared to this run, but like you said, this video sucked. LOL!!

I was at 12psi compared to 18psi. working with the converter.

I made my 1st pass at 18psi but got burned down at the lights. no sixty ft (1.7) ran a 6.45 @ 120mph. I need to take it back to TSS for a tune revision for the bigger boost and this converter.

so for sure it will back-half a lot better when the bugs get worked out.

Is there any bracing holding the turbo up? Or are they just supported by the manifold?
What is the manifold made of? Sch 10? 40?
