First time on track @ NOLA's Drag-n-lap

My wife and I had an absolute blast this past Saturday!! A very big thanks to Wes and Benjy for such a great time!!! I wasn't able to run my '95 GT due to an unexpected power steering leak but we shared her '05 GT. I was suprised how well the '05 handled with very minimal suspension mods. Also, neither of us had any prior open track experience and have much to learn. We could've pushed the car much harder but stayed within our comfort zone. Anyhow, here's some pics and a few videos:

The only relevant suspension mods (plus rolling stock) are:

Steeda Sport springs
Adjustable panhard bar
18x9.5 Steeda Ultralites and 285/35/18 Nitto 555's

A kamikaze BMW M3 went off track and destroyed the timing gear, so we recorded no lap times FWIW, we did trap a best of 105.8 in the 1/4 starting on very cold concrete and non-prepped asphalt.

I've been wanting to do one of those this year but always seem to end up working. You should come out to an autocross one of these days. Delta region runs at Nola on the skid pad or there is Cenla region that uses No Problem Raceway, both have events coming up in April.

I've wanted to do just that for the last THREE YEARS but, just as you said, something always came up or I was working. I believe the next one will be in April 14th, a Sunday.
