Just ordered my TR-6060 and RST Mcleod and I am confused on aluminum vs Steel flywheel. Money isnt an issue. Ive searched and found info on other forums but not this one. I trust this forum and your opinions on what I should do, and what your experiences have been, pros and cons! thanks guys Brett

What are you confused about? Steel weighs more; aluminum weighs less and will allow you to rev quicker...

What are you wanting to know/do exactly?

Here is a thread I started about this subject...I was always told aluminum would let you rev faster but loose some tq due to the momentum loss. You may look here and find the answer your looking for... http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62495&highlight=steel+alum+flywheel

Your link answered the main questions I needed, thanks! Wasnt really confused on how they work, I fully understand the concept of both but ya hear 50 people say they hate the alum and the next say they love it. I wanted to read what S197 forum members feel about it as I trust the opinions here much more considering ive been reading your (S197 members) posts for a couple of years and its easy to tell who is full of shit and who isnt over time! lol

How are you liking your alum set up? This is the main answers id like to hear from members.
