Ford Techs! Need info.

My car is currently at the dyno shop. My cam phaser went out before the dyno time. Now, I bought cam lockouts from BBR, and a new phaser from my Ford dealer. My car is an 06, and here's what my problem is.

The cam lockout fits in the old phaser, but will not fit in the new one. And the mech at the dyno shop told me that the phasers have been revised and that's why it won't fit. But I called Ford, and the parts guy said they haven't.

Any input???

Ford guy was wrong, the phasers have gone through at least 30 revisions. Check your part number, call bbr and question them about the locks and phaser revisions. Can you post up some pictures of the new phaser?

The phasers have gone through multiple revisions but the part number has never changed.

However, the phaser has an engineering number laser etched onto the trigger wheel. The last letter of the engineering number designates the level of revision
