Manual? The Ford manual says something below the filler level. 12,7 mm below hole
Don't know how much is inside, something above 3 l.

The rear diff must be filled up.

PS, the original drain plug has just an O-ring as seal, should be changed each time, I guess that was the reason for the silicone?

PS2 the diff without the cooling cover has some problems with heat on the Autobahn. When I changed it, the oil had a burned smell.

..the reason for the silicone was a stripped darin plug... but fortunately the tread in the oil pan was o.k.

for the tranny I will go with the 12.5mm lower than the filler hole.. ( Mercon V )

and for the axle... fully filled. ( 75 w 140 Amsoil severe duty and a bottle of ford friction modifier )

For the engine I used Shell Helix Ultra A3/B4 5w30...

@ rocknrod... below the filler hole - you are talking about the transmission ? I filled up the fluid , until the level reached 12.5mm ( 1/2 " ) below the filler hole.

@ JC SSP. .. my car has a manual transmission (TR 3650 ). but the Video you posted is very informative .
