I can tell you that the wing that came on the roush Trak Pak is good for 100lbs. It's actually the small apr version. The other apr wings provide more . The Gstream was good for 600lbs @120mph

That's before you add the supports that get you to attach it to the deck lid, for another $350.
But that fucker must be good because pretty much any serious racer with an S197 and their mothers run it. Considering an APR of similar size is similar price, why not go G-Stream?
I can't justify that kind of cost anytime soon.

You're running the LS spoiler and splitter correct? I assume you also run a square setup at the track. How far does the LS splitter extend and how does the car feel at the track with your aero?
I would not be opposed to running that if I had a 2010.
Here's the Steeda piece on the Boss 302R. Before that they ran it on the FR500C. It is also the second most popular S197 wing aside from the G-stream as far as I can tell. I think I could get away with this on the street without having to yell "Because Racecar!" at every weird look I get.

Yea I'm with you. I know I'm going to get ricer comments from people that don't know what the FR500S is but I don't care. My wing is HUGE!!! Go big or go home right!! LOL!!
I have the World Challenge splitter (the 4" version), but also have the Tiger hood. With the LS spoiler, the car feels pretty stable until about 130mph; after that it is manageable up to about 145 which is as fast as I've had it so far on the track. Tires are square for the track. I think you will be fine.
Another big advantage to those giant wings (Tiger, APR, etc) is the endplates, which actually do make a difference during high-speed turns.

I think maybe it will be in my best interest to make a few different splitters that I can change out for different tracks. A smaller splitter might be better for VIR with its long straights and a bigger one for tracks like Carolina Motorsports Park that have a lot of turns and short sprints.
I like the steeda piece because it has some endplates. Small, but theyre there. I suppose I could fab up some bigger ones if I wanted too.
The WC guys are regulated to 4" max protrusion from the body for their splitters, but they have increased their effectiveness by incorporating dense foam spacers that put the splitter closer to the ground. If you get one splitter, and a few lengths of bolts to attach, you could run different spacers (say a 1", 2", etc) to bring the splitter closer to the ground. Search for some pics of Tiger Racing's #50 car and you'll see what I mean. Not sure if it's cheaper to do the spacers or the splitters, you'll have to figure that out. You'll also need a few sets of stanchions w/ the spacers as well to accommodate for the extra vertical length.
Regarding the Steeda wing, that's a safe choice for sure as you KNOW it's functional since all the GA teams run it.
If anyone wants a splitter from the actual FR500s Miller cars, I have access to about 5 new ones. They are made from 3/8" (I believe) ABS plastic and are a tad weighty at about 19 lbs each, but are damn near indestructible lol. Price would be pretty good though, last time I spoke to the source, prob somewhere around $125 (splitter only, no hardware). PM me.
Did you make the spacer out of sintra too?
