If i had another car I would do it by myself and take it slow but I need the car 7days a week between school and work.

Don't worry, I am gonna take you up on this and buy the pizza. Just that right now I am at the end of a contract here at work the end of Nov. and still don't have the next job nailed down so mods on the car are on hold probably till after the first of the year.

Of course maybe I'll just ride down one day with a pizza and we can do a little shining on it. Especially since yours really don't need any real attention in that area.

I have a strong urge to get these cams put it but having second thoughts about reliability, any long term owners have any encouragement?

I need to sell my detroit rocker cams if you are interested. They are new, in the box, and have the warranty cards. LMK.

with my tax return in a couple months i plan on getting the Hot Rod cams, Ford Racing intake manifold (M-9424-463V) and the polished Ford Racing 62mm throttle body (M-9926-3V) and probably either a Bama or Brenspeed tune to run it with. i'm hoping i can borrow somebodies wedge tool for the cam install, don't see paying $100 for something i'll use once

Or use a 1-2 ft piece of garden hose and put that money toward mods.

Do the install yourself and take the $600.00 and buy a set of Kooks LT headers. I've been running my HotRod cams for about six months and had my long tubes installed this last weekend and I'm tellin' ya... WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Driveablility and acceleration has improved 100%! Knowing what I know now I wouldn't install the cams without changing the headers too!

I installed mine myself its a very simple job dont pay someone do it yourself. As far as reliability I DD my car and I did not see any differece in driving except the extra power. But the sound is awesome i get a complement every time i start my car lol these cams are worth every penny. and if you need help installing them UltraKla$$ic is the man to talk to he helped me out a ton and gave me the confidence to do the job myself.

Here is a reply from Chris Rose(AM) in one of my threads:

These cams are awesome with the right VCT calibration, and a good tune with idle-quality in mind. Give us a call. We can set the rev limiter where you prefer. I never pull a 3v Mustang above 6500RPM unless there's a reason to. In this case, you'll make more power up top for sure, but it's still not like a 45 degree incline, or a reason to keep pulling. You'll have reached peak power at 6500RPM with any VCT map and this cam. I usually put the limiter just a hair above 6500 anyway, so that you can shift there, as opposed to bouncing off of it.
