well just installed the frpp intake tonight and what a difference. i don't really think i lost anything down low. now, some helpful info. car previously made 330whp and it peaked at 6300 or so rpm and then dropped off but not much. still made over 300whp at 6700 or so. you could certainly feel the powerband drop off after 6500 or so. now it just keeps PULLING till my (now) 6950 limiter. first pull after the manifold i hit the limiter cause it didn't loose power after 6500 at all.
im still on stock valve springs so now the next step is comp springs and rev limiter at 7200 or so. the powerband just moved about 800rpms up and i dont have the hardware to support it right now.
as far as tuning went, no changes were made. richest spot was 12.8 to 1 and leanest spot was 13.1 to 1 which is pretty much where i had it before. although maf counts at the limiter were still climbing, as was VE, and calculated load, which the car never did before.
also installed prothane mounts and what a difference! didn't really notice any vibration at all. car shifts even better now, highly recommend to anyone. easy to install as well.
going to the dyno soon.
