Fuel door tank

Hi everyone,
I just had a 06 mustang GT and when i lock the door with the remote keyless entry, the Fuel door tank is still open, is it normal? i meant the exterior little door of the Gaz tank not the cap.
Please let me know.

Yes that's normal. My BMW has a little latch that locks the door closed when you lock the car, but there is nothing like that on the mustangs that I'm aware of.

Keyless entry has nothing to do with the fuel door.At least not on my 08.You cant lock the fuel door on my car at all.It is always open.well not open but accessable.

Ok thanx for the answer but if it is still open while your car is closed, then anybody can access and open the Gas Cap because this one also has no lock, any suggestions..?

I bought a locking gas cap a long time ago, i read somewhere and got the part number, I think its off of an f150 or something? I knew with this car and no locking door, I had to get a locking cap

Originally i just wanted to know if all Mustangs have the same way of Fuel door and caps or just mine.. apparently it's with all Mustangs..
