Fuel gauge goes from 1/4 tank to zero

Occasionally my fuel gauge goes from 1/4 tank to zero in an instant. I put an Aeromotive Stealth pump in last year and the problem has come and gone since. I've had the pump in and out a couple times trying to find anything obvious but everything is connected and appears normal.

Thoughts?
