G'day from downunder , found this forum while searching to confirm the FUSE style used in my 2012 GT .. found the answer via another guys entry and comments .. thanks for having me aboard now ... being in Australia my S197 is a LHD import converted to RHD here in Aus in 2012 they cost a bomb $$$$$$$$$$$.. the new models from S550 are built RHD in USA and began selling in Australia from the 2015 model and a LOT cheaper $$$ too !! and also there is very little S197 information and only a few parts available over here ... over the years I have owned the classics too 2 x 68s , 1 x 66 convertible and 1 x 66 coupe ... cheers fellas

My relatives are all from the UK. I wouldn't last 4 mins over there, driving a car. How the heck folks shift gears with their left hand is beyond me.

The OP has an automatic. Even with an auto, I wouldn't last 10 mins.

You get used to it.
In Cyprus cars are RHD and we drive on the left like the UK. It did feel wierd to me at first driving Scarlett on the left and sitting left of the car's centerline but after a day or two I got used to it. I also have a RHD Mercedes W124 diesel that I use primarily for work, and that's also a manual. That means I could be shifting gears with my right hand one day and with my left hand the next. So far I've managed to avoid grabbing the door handle by mistake  and I can switch from one to the other automatically even on the same day. It's never been a problem for me 'cause I had adapted to driving both RHD and LHD cars over the years.

I find no issues with my lefty either, switching vehicles and sides doesn't flinch me. I sometimes am guilty of heading for the passenger door when I'm supposed to be driving :D I do find the lefty a bit of a handicap when overtaking as I have to lean half way across the passenger seat to see the road ahead.

Me too, especially if I'm behind a lorry (truck to our American friends ;) ) and it's a two-lane road, but instant throttle response and abundant torque help a lot when the opportunity to overtake does come.

Yes Dino lorrys are the big problem in the leftys, sometimes I need to wait for a right hand bend so you can see the road in the distance LOL
