Never enough power guy!
Oh no, not that. I love how the RPM’s ramp right up and it seems to always stay high up in the RPM’s where the power is at as the “clutch” comes in.
I don’t know if you have ever ridden a aggressive snowmobile (sled). Mine is “clutched” so when you are at a dead stop and go WOT it immediately jumps up to about 7200rpm and then as it accelerates to its top speed of about 114mph it only gains another 800rpm for a total of 8000rpm. The variable clutches in sleds are set up to always have the motor “on the pipe” by changing the ratios between the two clutches constantly. On a basic level they have a CVT transmission.
Your car kind of sounds like that in that dyno clip. It gets right up there in the RPM’s and seems to make it’s run without having a huge RPM sweep. It sounds really pissed off!![]()
That's the power of the PI 3500 conv. along with a stroker with custom grind cams and an F1a. The cams in the car make a lot of low end power. I actually have them retarded some now. I had to degree the cams to find that comp had them off a bit from what I was wanting. My dyno sheets posted here in this thread actually look like a twin screw dyno sheet. The tq comes fast and the hp plato's at about 5k and stays there to 6800. I guess that's why I was able to 1.5 my 60ft with the 20" drs. LOL
Looking great!!! Believe me I know what it feels like to get it running after all this time, I went through a similar time with mine.

Yea, it has been a long time coming.
Congrats man, glad to see your hard work finally paid off. I'll have to check it out some time too since I live somewhat close.
I will be doing my shake down passes (and learning to drive the car again ) at Dallas Raceway this spring.
I plan to do all the tuning on the road this time with "lito" tuning the car and then make a few dyno pulls just to check the power.
