Greetings,
Pardon my ignorance, per the title..
I am picking up a very low mile 2014 3.7 Convertible. Pony package bone stock.
I’m considering a few mods and would like your experience and opinion.
Rather than a full CAI maybe just a K&N and an air raid air tube to the TB.
I would like to get a programmable tuner. I’ve had great results using tuners on Motorcycles. What is the best tuner?
MAYBE a H pipe. Not interested in changing the mufflers. Thank you!

The best 1st performance mod for cyclone V-6 mustangs is a gear change. The stock 2.73 ratio really holds them back and they need at least a 3.31 to wake them up. MPT writes the best tunes for Cyclones but get gears 1st. Enjoy your new Stang it is the last of the "real" mustangs with a solid rear axle like the originals.

Thanks for the reply. I should really post the requests somewhere else. ;) I've been looking for a few months and had to have a 2013 or 14, convertible, non previous rental, low miles etc.
I'll post my findings when I pick it up.
Cheers!

How much did the gear change affect the MPG? So many ratio options….

Agree but I think a 3.73 ratio is a better match for the 3.7 V6. The difference, compared to the stock 2.73, is night and day.

My car is a V8, but I LOVE my 3.73 gears. It was 1 of the only options I had to have when I bought the car. I can still do 80+ on the highway and be under 2500 rpm's
