First you said they were not clear but you diagnosed it immediately and now they suck. You are getting closer to my point on this one soon you will be agreeing that a pretty good amount of people have problems. Ok so maybe a million links was a bit of a stretch.......maybe its only half a million links of problems. Ever try reading other message boards? Plenty on those. I'm done with this.
Have a day.
let me say this AGAIN so MAYBE you can understand this time,k. I AM AGREEING WITH YOU.....about the instructions, THEY SUCK MONKEY BALLS FROM MONKEY ISLAND, please re-read this statment until you understand before moving on to the next statement i will make....
I believe (JUST MY OPINION....NOT A FACT) MOST cases of the "bad pumps" are from a bad install (NOT ALL CASES), there have been a few (plural=more than one) people who do this for a living and have stated that out of all the installs they have done only a small fraction gave them an issue.....so its MY belief (AGAIN, JUST MY OPINION), most of the issues are from the install. its MY belief that people do not take thier time, they do not figure it out before they try to jam the pumps into the tank...which I belive causes MOST (not all) issues.
If you where to read my write up, you would see there are many mentions of "tips" .... these tips are NOT in the instructions, and i believe these tips are key to getting them installed with out issues. For example:if you install the pumps with the float facing the front of the car, then twist the assembly once it clears the opening towards the passenger side,it goes in alot easier and you dont mess up the float.also, there are 2 tabs on the bottom of the hat that line up with 2 notches in the fuel tank, if you line this up and slightly twist the hat, the pumps will sit in the tank by them selves, then its very easy to install the lock ring...alot of people dont know about this and they cant get the pumps to stay down while they put the lock ring in, i hear ALOT of people say this is the hardest part but actually its not hard at all if the notches are lines up......neither of these 2 things are mentioned in the instructions,if they were, i bet your 500,000 posts might drop to 250,000 posts.
Only took me 3 minutes to fix my wiring issue because when i wired it up....it was unclear to me and i had my doubts when i when i wired it up the first time, so when my fuel level didnt work...it was the first thing i tried and it fixed the issue. This was my very first gt500 pump install,so im no pro by any means, and mine worked great....i thought i did a great thing by documenting my install and pointing out my tips.
Please dont take this as though im against you on this.....your not completley wrong, just a little (THATS A JOKE_LIGHTEN UP).
BTW....its ok to agree on disagreeing ....its the internet so who cares what we have to really say, right?
