First, the proverbial "shoot me down" if this has already been posted. I did search and found two previous threads on Quad Tips, but didn't answer my question. If this doesn't belong in tech, the same thing, apologies in advance before shooting RPG's at me.

Do GT500 Quad Tips fit 2012 GT's with the GT500 rear valance? Additionally, has anyone ever done a comparison tone on a GT with the standard GT500 Axle Back vs the GT500 Quad Tips.

Thanks in advance.

Why wouldn't you? To some of us, the exhaust sound is just as important as the fitment and look of it. I would imagine that the quad tip sounds at least slightly different just based on the addition of the extra two tips. I don't know how much different, but there should be at least some small difference.

Guess I'm not an exhaust whore or know how to choose what I like the best the first time lol.

I also don't see the need to compare OEM mufflers, GT500 mufflers have one sound, the quads are just louder.

Thanks, I had no idea if it was louder, I didn't know if there was a youtube out there (did a search and didn't see any) I'm just trying to make a decision because its about double in price compared to the single tip GT500s. And yes, I'd like to know what it sounds like comparibly to single tip GT500's. Since there's 10,000 exhaust videos on youtube, I thought maybe someone had ran into one and could maybe post a link.

Jesus effing Christ, to ask a god damn question around here...

"And who the fuck does tone comparison???"
I do, before I spend $700+ on exhaust, I'd like to get some info on it, then again, Mommy and Daddy don't fund my Mustang parts so I have to make an informed decision.

Just a heads up, I don't think it's just a simple "put a 2013 GT500 valence on a 2012" swap. I am pretty sure that the valences are totally different. I would think that the quad tip AB exhaust will bolt up, but you may have to do some work on the valence to make it fit, or even change entire bumper covers.

Yep ... You are going to have to either get 2013 taillights as well ($$$$$) or you can cut the rear on the 2012 to fit the Quad tips for the GT500. Magnaflow (I believe) makes a quad exhaust for the 2011-2012 cars and has a cut out template for these cars, you might want to check and see if they would be able to send you the template.

The 2013s have a slightly deeper tone to them then the 2012 but they are still a very quiet exhaust. Also, chit chat because you are not asking how to install a part or trying to diagnose a problem.
