It's piped into the top of the intercooler and it does not close at idle so it's dumping the air/boost at idle/lower rpm's.

it shouldnt be closed at idle because its getting vacumn, its doing what it should. Some setups have to rig it or run a stonger spring to keep it closed if its near the maf so it will have steady air moving across the meter

Yes its open at idle but it doesnt even move to shut at all when he revs it. And being plumbed on the top of the intercooler he dumps air right where it expands through the intercooler. For it to work right with his turbo setup it needs to snap shut instantly when you rev it. Plus its pos no name one.

Yeah its a cheap not labeled piece. And yeap he reved it and boost gauge went to zero and it didnt budge just stayed wide open.
