Good morning,
Just a little background info on me.
Earlier this summer I sold my 1986 Monte Carlo SS after 24 years of owning it.
This started out with a 454 LS6 crate engine and a Doug Nash 4+1 5 speed transmission.
Over the years I put a lot of money into this car,and it was a truly fast muscle car.
Anyhow,to make a long story short, I am now looking for something different for a cruiser.
This will be a summer only car.
I’ve been looking at the 2005-2014 Mustang Convertible, and the V6 automatic models seem to be reasonably priced and lots to choose from.
Looking forward to being a member here

Welcome but a Monte SS with a BBC and 5 speed and you want a 6cyl Mustang? Please post pics of the SS.

You're going to need a GT500 to scratch that itch buddy... LOL ;0

I did a lot of car shows over the years, probably over 200.
Won a lot of trophies and got lots of compliments.
I’ve had enough of that to.

The 05-10 GTs are not bad on price if you look around. If you really want a V6, go 11-14. The 3.7 is 300hp, 100 more than the 4.0.

I agree the 05 to 10 are good choices. I believe the later years were better as it seemed by 07, 08 Ford had corrected some of the earlier issues. They are v_8's but when I stepped up to my 2012 I went from 300HP to 412HP. 300 might fit what you're looking for.

Welcome from N. Idaho

Thank You
Right now I’m just in the looking stage.
It’s getting a bit too late now for me to buy a car.
I work in the Western Canada oilfield in the fall and winter season so I’ll be going back to work in a couple of months.
But next year I’m gonna have me another car.
I’ve decided on this generation of Mustangs because they are based on the ‘69-70 Fastback which has been my favourite body style since I was a kid.
