very odd my auto meter oil pressure gauge went through the roof, oem gauge was in the middle drove it 5 miles home slow

no wires appear damaged on the auto meter gauge

over 1 1/2 quarts low (if not more all I had) and still nothing on the dipstick and oil all under the car near adapter housing on motor .......have oil relocation kit with an fittings and has been on for over a year and no leaks

oil is Redline 5w20

obviously have to get under there and tighten everything up and find the leak

but why would the gauge peg high when the oil is low and the oem gauge not move ?

The oem oil pressure gauge on the dash is bogus. It won't budge ever. Mine reads 2/3..all the time..even with key in the on position.. (eng off) . Ford just loops dcv through a resistor to provide a just above midscale reading.

well had the oil relocation filter lines going the wrong way
(not passing the buck but I let our mechanic at work install it, should have done it myself)

he had out on the engine to out on the filter and in on the engine to in on the filter

should be out from the engine to in on the filter
and out from the filter to in on the engine

ughh

I'd recommend throwing the filter away and replacing it since the backflow valve is most likely ruined.
